چکیده

Enzyme immobilization provides substantial advantages in terms of improving the efficiency enzymatic process as well enhancing reusability enzymes. Phasins (PhaPs) are naturally occurring polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA)-binding proteins, and thus can potentially be used a fusion partner for oriented enzymes onto PHA supports. However, presently available granular supports have low surface-area-to-volume ratio limited configurational flexibility reactions. In this study, we explored use electrospun polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) nanofibers an alternative support high density PhaP-fused lipase. As envisioned, PHB could anchor 120-fold more enzyme than granules same weight. Furthermore, immobilized exhibited markedly higher stability activity compared to when on conventional Our approach combines advantageous features nanofibrous material specificity biomolecular interaction efficient enzymes, which widely adopted development various processes.

Bioactive surface design based on functional composite electrospun nanofibers for biomolecule immobilization and biosensor applications.

The combination of nanomaterials and conducting polymers attracted remarkable attention for development of new immobilization matrices for enzymes. Hereby, an efficient surface design was investigated by modifying the graphite rod electrode surfaces with one-step electrospun nylon 6,6 nanofibers or 4% (w/w) multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) incorporating nylon 6,6 nanofibers (nylon 6,6/4MWC...

Electrospun light-emitting nanofibers.

We have electrospun light-emitting nanofibers from ruthenium(II) tris(bipyridine)/polyethylene oxide mixtures. The electroluminescent fibers were deposited on gold interdigitated electrodes and lit in a nitrogen atmosphere. The fibers showed light emission at low operating voltages (3-4 V), with turn-on voltages approaching the band gap limit of the organic semiconductor. Because of the fiber s...

Electrospun Perovskite Nanofibers

CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite nanofibers were synthesized by versatile electrospinning techniques. The synthetic CH3NH3PbI3 nanofibers were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and photoluminescence. As counter electrodes, the synthesized nanofibers increased the performance of the dye-sensitized solar cells from 1.58 to 2.09%. This improvement w...

Effect of Electrospun Phb and Hap-Phb Composite Scaffolds Characteristics on Mesenchymal Stem Cell Growth Viability

Repairing bone and tissue defects caused by trauma, cancer and neonatal disease is still a major challenge in medical and dental fields. Professionals in these areas are often faced with using a graft to aid the recovery of the affected areas. Grafts can be classified according to their origin as autogenous (autograft), allogeneic (from a donor of the same species) or alloplastic (biomaterials)...

Gas Sensors Based on Electrospun Nanofibers

Nanofibers fabricated via electrospinning have specific surface approximately one to two orders of the magnitude larger than flat films, making them excellent candidates for potential applications in sensors. This review is an attempt to give an overview on gas sensors using electrospun nanofibers comprising polyelectrolytes, conducting polymer composites, and semiconductors based on various se...
